B.S SpecDist is every analog purist's worst nightmare, embracing its digital nature to the fullest. Featuring a unique approach to distortion and sonic destruction this device can produce sounds completely impossible with traditional electronic circuitry. Rather than manipulating the waveform directly like any traditional distortion unit, it transforms the incoming audio into a one-dimensional matrix using spectral processing. This matrix is then processed using a distortion matrix before being translated back into sound. The result is a wide palette of unusual textures, from smeared, blurred audio to atonal madness. When combined with the built-in overdrive, these sounds can evolve into harsh, screaming timbres.

Compatibility & Requirements

• Requires Ableton Live 12 Suite or Standard with a Max for Live license.
• This device is a Max for Live (M4L) plugin, not a VST plugin.
• As a spectral processing device B.S SpecDist will introduce some latency depending on the chosen FFT size and might therefore not be suitable for use in a live environment.
